Hello! Welcome to my website, I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Molecular and Integrative Physiology in the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology and a Master’s student in Applied Statistics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign . My Ph.D. work intersects genomics, statistics, data science and neurobiology. I am co-advised by Dr. Kevin Van-Bortle and Dr. Nien-Pei Tsai.

I am originally from Colombia where I obtained a degree in Pharmacy at Universidad Nacional de Colombia (National University of Colombia ). During the last semester of my undergrad I was a visiting student at Purdue University where I worked in the formulation a personalized dosage forms. After graduation I worked as a Clinical Pharmacist supporting Antibiotic Management Plans and Clinical Nutrition Teams. I am curious by nature and an avid learner!

Feel free to navigate through my website, you can explore the different projects I have worked on during my Ph.D. and also small projects I have done throughout my masters degree in Statistics.

Currently, I am looking for post-doc or industry positions in functional genomics, data science and transcriptomics. I am planning to defend my Ph.D. by 2025. If you know about something, please reach out
